oh, my aching taxes

i need serious help with my taxes this year, which will include accounting for some domestic partner-type finances. can anyone recommend a good accountant in the area who is very well-versed in Massachusetts tax stuff and will not judge me for living in same-sex sin? thanks.

hakamadare and I recommend Mr. James on Highland Ave. He filed our taxes for last year and fixed two previous years' returns for $300 total. And when we walk in the door, he remembers our names and what we need to talk about. :)

If you do choose to go see Mr. James, feel free to tell him that Crystal and Steve sent you! I just heard referrals get you and us $20 apiece off our respective returns.

Walk up Highland Ave from the center of Davis, and he's on the left before you reach the drug store parking lot. His office is near where Disc Diggers used to be, if that helps, and he has a red banner outside with "James Associates" on it. :)

I would also give a shout out to David Prothero from Chilmark and Associates in Cambridge. He came recommended to me by a colleague and did both our federal and first year of same-sex married taxes with no problem. He's even letting us wait to pay him until our refund comes back!
