Laundromats

Does anyone know of any laundromats in the Somerville neighborhood that are open particularly late? I don't get off work until 8pm every night, so I'm looking for maybe somewhere that closes at 11 or 12? It can be anywhere in Somerville because I'll probably be driving there anyways.

Thanks!

There's one on Somerville Ave. that's open until 1am, I believe.

The one I'm thinking of is on the corner of Belmont Street and Somerville Ave.

The one at Elm Street and Somerville Avenue (next to the gas station and Starbucks) may be open late, but I'm not sure.

If so, then the hours posted on their website must be wrong.

Ron mentioned that one earlier. I used to use it a lot, and it was open till 11 or 12... maybe 1am. Couple of video game machines and vending machines too to help pass the time :)

It is well lit, and has always seemed to me to be relatively safe place.

Yeah, I used to use hte one that's right down Somerville Ave. from there. That one is fine too.

Also, there's one on Washington Ave (between Union Square and Kirkland Square) that we use, named Sweet Laundry. Last wash is at 8:45 though, so that might not be feasible (it's damn close to my apartment, though, so I thought I'd give it a plug).

The one everyone is talking about is called Showcase.

Hm. I can't remember if they have TVs. I wrote a yelp review (of course) so check that out. I honestly had a rough time there and was really annoyed by the card system. But most people seem to like it.

They have two TVs. Plus, you'll probably be able to control the stations if you're in that late; few folks are there until the 1AM close. Happy laundering!

Is Laundromax on the same side of Somerville Ave as the car wash and market basket? If so, I've heard it's super sketch.

I don't know for sure how late, but I've seen people in the one on Broadway near the intersection of Bay State Ave pretty late.

I'll also plug Showcase Lanudromat. I like the card system (put a deposit on a card, and add $ to it as needed), much easier than the old days of having to have a pocketful of quarters. They have 2 TV's, and the dryers are free if you do your wash there. I've never been there late, so I can't vouch for the atmosphere. It's also open very early (6 am, I think). They also have a dry/wash/fold service.
