SomerStreets Festival, Sat. 6/19 from noon until 8 pm

Coming to Broadway between Powderhouse and Magoun Square, SomerStreets and Joe's Jazz and Blues Fest, on Saturday, June 19th from noon until 8 pm.

From the city press release:

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone announced today that the City's second SomerStreets event will be held on Saturday, June 19th in conjunction with Joe's Jazz and Blues Fest, the annual Family Fun Day, and the rescheduled Citywide Spring Cleanup.

Parking restrictions, street closures, and bus detours will apply on several streets in the Magoun Square, Ball Square, and Powderhouse neighborhoods, and all affected residents and businesses will be notified in advance.  Rain Date:  June 20th

The day's full schedule is as follows:

10:00 am:

    * Various Locations:  Spring Cleanup begins.

12:00 pm:

    * Trum Field:  Community BBQ
    * Trum Field:  Family Fun Day begins
    * Broadway from Magoun Square to NAVE Gallery:  SomerStreets begins.
    * Powderhouse Park:  Joe's Jazz & Blues Fest begins

But ... Broadway doesn't go to the Nave Gallery. That's on Powder House Boulevard.

Hmm... call 311 and ask? But I suppose they could be closing Broadway from Magoun Sq to Powderhouse park (which covers Trum field and Powderhouse park both) and then closing off Powderhouse Blvd to the Nave Gallery.
Is there an event at the Nave Gallery?

I agree. This was too long a street, with not enough commercial activity along it to sustain interest. Would have been better to concentrate it in either Ball Square or Magoun Square.
