Emergency response

IF anyone was curious about how well Somerville responds to a 911 call, I can report that there are a combined total of 6 emergency vehicles on Appleton and Willow right now, attending to a house that is not on fire. Awesome response by the city, y'all.

In other news, when you go out for a while, make sure you don't leave food in a hot oven, cause it'll burn and smoke a lot.

I've unfortunately ended up having a bunch of dealings with the Somerville first responders for a previous downstairs neighbor and all of the folks have been uniformly awesome.

LOL

Good thing the cat was in the other room or she would've skittered away terrified at how loud I just laughed.

But I'm glad your house is not on fire! And go, emergency responsiveness!

The fascinated neighbor with excellent prose styling, you mean. But yes.

I don't doubt that. We had an incident once with a carbon monoxide alarm (which turned out to be nothing), and I was so impressed by how fast the fire department showed up and how nice they were.
