MacBook Pro lost at the Diesel

A short while ago (about an hour), my wife's back pack was stolen at the Diesel.  Among other things it contained a 13" MacBook Pro (early 2011).  The serial number is C02FTC2DDH2H, so if anyone tries to sell you a machine with this serial number please respond to this post.  The serial number is physically printed on the bottom part of the laptop.  It can be also found by clicking on the apple icon on the top left side of the screen, choosing "About this Mac" and then clicking on the "More Info" button.

Yeah, I'm wondering that, too. I never leave my computer/bag unattended in a restaurant or coffee shop, but sometimes I ask an honest looking nearby neighbor to watch it.

P.S. I'm so sorry to hear this! How horrible.

Wasn't in Davis, but downtown, in my old coffee shop, I had people's bags stolen literally right behind them(laptop bag propped behind their chair, or hanging behind them). Don't leave your stuff out of sight at all if there is something of value in it.
Thieves are really clever, swift fuckers sometimes.

I always stick my leg or arm through a strap on my bag if I've set it down near me, whether I'm at a cafe or on the T.
