Kids Street Band - rehearsal tomorrow!

After a long hiatus, the kids street band, aka the Underage Marching Menace, will be starting rehearsal again this Sunday!

Songs we've learned so far include: Rock Anthem! Old Second Line. Green Onions. The Ghostbusters theme song. If you're interested in seeing what we've been up to so far, there's a website and a google group: http://kids-street-band.tumblr.com/

Band is open to kids, adults, and everyone in between. We meet every Sunday at Parts and Crafts, 155 Powder House Blvd, in the basement of Clarendon Hill Church in Somerville.

Come and make a joyful noise, 3-5 p.m. tomorrow!

Is the band open to kids who don't actually own or play an intrument but love Honk? We saw a flier a while back and were interested in coming to learn more... thanks for this post, maybe now we will@

Most definitely! You should email us ahead of time (katie@partsandcrafts.org) if your kids have a particular instrument preference, and we'll try to find one that suits. Otherwise, we'll start them on percussion and go from there.
