Looking for help shoveling out my car

I'm disabled and can't shovel, so every storm is an issue for me. My landlord shovels the walkway, but I could use help shoveling my car after this week's (or any) blizzard. I have neighbors and friends who have been very helpful in the past, but several of them have moved farther away or need to be home with their kids, so I'm running out of people to impose upon. If you're looking to do a good deed and get a little exercise, please let me know!

If you can't help this week but might be able to after another storm (because this is Boston, so today's won't be our last of the winter!) please let me know.

The City of Somerville is starting a program this winter to connect people to teens who can help out with this sort of thing.

Ah, that program is less impressive than I thought. If you pass a CORI check, and they have enough teens, they will match you with a teen who will come and shovel you out and you pay them.

Last winter I'd just had ankle surgery and none of my housemates were in town, so I used Neighbors for Neighbors (http://neighborsforneighbors.org/page/snowcrew) from time to time! They specifically have a spot for the elderly or people with disabilities to post requesting snow removal assistance.

When do you need the car shoveled out by? We're also on Day St and can help, but we have a small kiddo and it can be tough to plan on a time in advance.

Thank you all so much for offering to help! The interesting thing about having a disabling condition is seeing people's true natures. Some people are mean and nasty. Some accuse me of lying (because I'm young and they assume only older people have health problems.) And some show their true kindness and generosity of spirit. I have been privileged to see the latter.

Having strangers, people who have no idea who I am and who expect nothing in return, offer to help me has been so wonderful. Thank you all!
