Verna's seized?

A little outside Davis, but Verna's donuts on Mass Ave has big orange stickers on the doors declaring it seized by the constable. Any one know any details? What does it mean to be seized?

It means an unpaid debt. Could be city or state taxes, could be rent to the landlord, could be something else. I'll walk over soon and see what the signs say.

Marc Levy from Cambridge Day told me:
It’s an eviction from the landlord for nonpayment of rent, Ron. It was issued in Cambridge District Court on March 15, according to the Constables Office.
And here is his article about this.

Btw, if looking for an alternate donut place, it's worth the trip over to medford square to hit up donuts with a difference.

Demet's

We decided to try out Demet's on Mystic Ave in Medford. (We were in a car but I think it's about 15 minutes walking from Powderhouse.)
They had sold out of donuts at 10am, which they said was very unusual for them and they attributed it to Verna's closing. Very friendly and
good coffee though.
