La Contessa - closed for good?

I walked by La Contessa this morning around 11:30, and the doors were locked. Nothing was in the display cases.

A few days ago, Annette had told me she was staying open through this Sunday. I didn't even get to say a proper goodbye to her.

Sad. And especially sad to see their old-school sign go. It's a physical piece of our history.

But at least we'll have Kick*ss Cupcakes.

Maybe someone can save the sign, put it in storage till the city or the museum can find a proper home for it
