Hypothetical Question

Let's say you have a dream apartment, just a 2-minute walk to the Davis Square T, in a building that is run exceptionally well and is everything you could ever want in a home.

Now let's say the fire alarm goes off about once a month, for no apparent reason. You hear from your neighbors, usually it's during the day while you're at work. You have no doubt the management does what it can to fix the problem.

Now let's say you've been away for three weeks, not getting any sleep and walking a lot. And you get back, you have a stress fracture, and all you want is a consistent 8-hour block of sleep, at least, to rest and catch up and beat jet lag. And the fire alarm goes off one morning at 3:30 AM. And the next at 6:00 AM.

Who would you kill?What would you do? Write a firm letter demanding rent back? Move? What?

Free stuff on parade—anyone got a kitten?

Hi again,

So, in the spirit of Trash Day after the big move-in, there's a bunch of stuff I'm throwing out that anyone who feels like dropping by is welcome to. You'll find it in front of 7 Albion Street, sitting there on the sidewalk. Please drop me a line at dani at tzk-design dot com if you want me to hold anything for you specifically.

Tonight's offerings include:

~ More boxes than anyone could possibly ever need;
~ 2 full 4-lb bags of Iams Kitten Food (don't ask me why it's here—it was left on my deck);
~ 1 HUGE half-full bag of Johnny Cat, and a nifty covered litterbox;
~ 1 perfectly good square coffee table;
~ 1 relatively good-looking computer desk, that you'd have to put together (I'm not sure where the connectors are);
~ A milk crate full of miscellaneous cables.

Come on by and take whatever—we don't need it!
