Sign on the door says they closed for good on June 4. Surprising since they seemed busy, but not surprising given the conversation here a few weeks ago about someone looking for a liquor license for that address.

Why? Most alcoholic beverages are vegan, and vegan doesn't mean healthy - French fries are usually vegan, after all.

Hi Ron, a lot of alcohols are filtered with animal-based agents or animal-based additives are added to them and thus they are not vegan or vegetarian. There's some more information here:

I'd heard the earlier discussion that something else would be moving into their location, but I also really liked them and should have tried harder to get back one more time before they closed.

To be on topic, I liked Teele Square Cafe but only ever went there for dinner, so back a year-ish ago when they stopped being open at dinner, I stopped going. I'm hoping that seeking an alcohol license means this new place is at least going to be open at night.

From what I heard they are moving to a rural location (farm) and don't have any plans to re-open elsewhere. Thats second hand though...

Sigh, that is really sad. Especially because I was just having a cheerful conversation maybe two weeks ago with one of the guys there about how happy I was for them that it was always pretty hopping at lunchtime (it wasn't the owner, but one of the cooks/chefs I think).
It is such a lovely sunny space - I thought they were going to be the people who made it work. :(
