I do remember a time before curbside pickup, when you had to bring recyclables on Saturdays to either the DPW on Franey Road, or the former incinerator site in Brickbottom. Lots of cars waiting in long lines.

It would have been funny if CBS included "Residents hated how easy it was to park, so he fixed that too"

Mayor Joe has built one short new section of Community Path in Somerville Junction Park, between Woodbine and Central streets. An extension fron Cedar to Lowell street should begin construction within the next two years.
I'll also give him credit for bike lanes, especially on Somerville Avenue and Beacon Street (though the latter street desperately needs repaving). Maybe CBS doesn't know the difference between bike lanes and bike paths?

Could curbside pickup have existed as early as the fall of 1992? We moved to town then as already hardcore recyclers, and I don't recall schlepping recyclables over to the DPW yard...

Huh. I thought only the Right resorted to impotent name calling.
