Pasta pasta pasta

A friend said recently that there is some fantastic fresh pasta shop in Davis Sq that sells mostly to restraunts (but will sell to walk-ins as well at nearly wholesale prices). I don't have the name or the exact location, can anyone point me to it (then stand back or I'll run you over getting there... hehehe)?

As I understand it, it's not a restraunt, just a maker/seller of fresh pasta.

They probably mean Dave's Pasta, which is down Holland St. a little ways. For other generally really good quality Italian food, including lovely imported meats and cheeses, try Sessa's Cold Cuts on Highland Ave. by Poor Little Rich Girl.

The only one I know of is Dave's Fresh Pasta, but they definitely do retail, and they've recently expanded into a small cafe as well, although oddly I don't think the cafe serves pasta. And hi! :)

A friend and I wandered into Dave's a couple of months ago, hoping for some pasta from the cafe. I have no idea why they do not serve some of the pasta. Seems pretty intelligent.

Yeah, given that all it'd really take is a decent way to boil water... I can't fathom why their cafe doesn't feature their signature product. (I did the same thing, btw.)

There's also Capone Foods (http://www.caponefoods.com/) in Union Square...

dave's fresh pasta owns that property and wouldn't renew their lease, so they could expand in that space instead.

sucks.

Dave's Fresh Pasta definitely does retail. Dunno if they provide restaurants too.
