veggie dogs?

So I overheard somebody a few weeks ago saying something about getting veggie hot-dogs somewhere in Davis Square but I didn't catch the name of the place. Anybody think they know what it is?

Spike's Junkyard Dogs on Elm (where Picante used to be)
They make any of their burger or dog versions with veggie if you want.

If you want a tasteless, quasi-edible and likely cold piece of veggie dog, check out Spike's.

Weird, I've been there a few times and have never had that problem. I just find the buns way too bulky. Awesome fries, though.

agreed, It's not bad, but not great either. I miss Picante.

Wow. For me, the 10 or so times I've gotten one, they've been tasty and hot.

Contrary to what others have said here, I quite like Spike's and have never had a cold dog there.

It's Spikes, but here's a little secret, they use Smart Dogs for their veggie dogs. I saw the guy opening a pack of them when I used to go to Spikes in Providence.

Spike's -- delicious! Their buns are homemade, the Spike's mustard is so tasty, and they've only messed up my order with a regular dog once, which I consider a pretty good rate of success based on my experiences at other places.

I've never had a bad meal from Spike's Junkyard Dogs. I usually get either the grilled chicken or the (carnivore style) dog, and they've always been the appropriate temperature and tasty.

When you got the cold food, did you let the people behind the counter know? They may have had some malfunctioning equipment, and you would have been doing them a favor before they alienated more customers.

I enjoy Spike's... sometimes I get the veggie dog, sometimes the meat one, and it's always been good.

Vegan?
