Boston.com visits Davis Square - video report

Two young Boston Globe reporters visited Davis Square last month and made this 3 1/2 minute video, which is currently displayed on the Boston.com front page.

Local businesses featured in this video: Cibeline, Diesel Cafe, Magpie, Kickass Cupcakes, and the Somerville Theatre. (Compare with this TurnHere.com video from last year.)

Boston.com still isn't hip enough to accept blog comments, so you'll have to leave them here instead.

EDIT 3/21/08: The Boston.com video link has stopped working. Try this one instead.

I'm rather happy with the Globe not enabling comments on its stuff. Not everything has to have comments these days. You start thinking like that, you buy right into the Web2.0 hype-o-gumma and the next thing you know, we're all rounded corners and absolutely no user-driven content to show for it. It'd only de-evolve into a cesspool of trolls, flamewars, and more trolls, anyway.

Right on.
