Speaking of porn and chicken...

Is there any place in Central Square that serves a better chicken korma than the one I can get at Punjab in Arlington center? Neither of the Davis Square Indian joints worked out.

I've been happy with the Korma at Passage to India, in porter sq.

Ditto that. They deliver, but I'm not sure how far away.

I was going to suggest this. I had their Korma earlier this week.

seriously? i think the korma at passage to india was some of the worst i've ever had. actually, that goes for their food in general.

See, I think Passage to India's chicken korma tastes weird. Not necessarily, *bad*, but different from how I expect chicken korma to taste. But everyone else apparently likes it, so maybe *I'm* the one who's weird. But we already knew that.

Also, there's a place in Inman that's really yummy, but I can't remember the name of it at the moment. Punjabi Dhaba, maybe? [livejournal.com profile] prosicated took me there once. But it was a long time ago, so I'm not even sure if I had korma. But if korma is on a menu, I tend to order it, so I can only assume.

There's a good place in Allston but I can't remember the name. Helpful!

if you want to go to belmont center, kashish has a good korma.

Have you tried the Porter Square Indian Place? (Can't remember the name, sorry.)

I'm a huge fan of Shalimar of India. But then, it is owned by the same family as Diva's in Davis, so if you don't like that place, this one might not work out for you either.

I highly recommend India Palace in Union Square.
They'd probably deliver to Davis Square.

i like Tanjore, in harvard sq, although i've never had their korma. but then, i also like namaskar a lot, so if you don't like the food there, maybe it's not the best for you. still waiting for a place with good south indian food...

I like Tanjore, Tamarind, and Bombay a-ok (all in Harvard). The Davis and Central Indian foods are evil foods. (Davis because they taste bad, Central because they put poison in their food.)

Royal Bengal, somewhat south of Central Square, has awesome food -- both the standard Indian fare like kormas, curries, and tandoors, and more esoteric Bengali dishes. The hilsa fish is wonderful.

i'm a vegetarian so i can't speak to the chicken, but my favorite indian joint in central sq. is India Castle, on Mass Ave between Central & Harvard.
