Speaking of porn and chicken...

Is there any place in Central Square that serves a better chicken korma than the one I can get at Punjab in Arlington center? Neither of the Davis Square Indian joints worked out.

I'm a huge fan of Shalimar of India. But then, it is owned by the same family as Diva's in Davis, so if you don't like that place, this one might not work out for you either.

Diva's made a friend and I actively ill (as in, as bad as on Mike's tuna salad) on our last visit. Given that I usually have an iron stomach, I'm going to give an active pass.

Really? Oh, dear. I go there all the time - I even had my birthday party there last year! Glad me and my closest 20 friends didn't get that!

That's too bad; I've had some nice meals there. Though I will say I wasn't terrifically impressed with the quality of their buffet, which always leads me to wonder whether I'm getting food that's going to react violently to the idea of digestion. I was fine, but I don't think I'll go back to all-you-can-eat.

I like thinking that if I'm going out for food, the food will be given at least the same care and scrutiny that I would give it at home. The reality is that this isn't always the case, even assuming that it's possible. The trouble is, bad food experiences are disappointing enough that it's usually justifiable to take the establishment out of consideration on the next go.
