bus route question

When the 89 bus goes to Clarendon Hill, does it turn around and come back through Davis Sq.? in other words, if I'm in Winter Hill and I get on the 89 that says "Clarendon" rather than "Davis", will it eventually take me to Davis?

Of course on a normal day I could just get off at the rotary and walk down College Ave., but well, have you looked out the window lately?

btw, I did try to look it up on mbta.com but the map is unclear.

Not to my knowledge, but if you get off at Teele Square, it's a brief walk to Davis.

Clarendon Hill busses do not go back through Davis. They go up Broadway all the way.
Only the busses with an end point of Davis will go through Davis. So no...A Clarendon bus will not take you to Davis.

The 89 either goes from Clarendon Hill to Sullivan (not going to Davis Square) or it goes from Davis Square to Sullivan (not going to Clarendon Hill). The 89 never runs from Clarendon Hill to Davis Square. And yes, it's confusing.

Take the 89 to Clarendon and then take the 87 or 88 back to Davis, if standing around in the cold is preferable to walking in it. When it's running right, there should be one or the other of those every 10 minutes or so -- although in this weather all bets are off.

For the record, "catastrophic" doesn't quite sum up how poorly the buses have been running since the snow started, so consider yourself forewarned.....

At least they are running. The Tufts shuttle got canceled and I had to walk all the way back from campus. *sadface*

If you really want to do that, no reason to go all the way to Clarendon. Get off at Teele Square and cross the street to the other-way bus stop.

It's so charming how the Tufts shuttle stops running when the students need it the most. I mean, it always worked out for me as a cab driver. But I did feel sympathy for the non-Eurotrash (read: broke) Tufts kids who had to hike up those awful hills because the shuttle wasn't running...

Walking across the Mystic to Medford at 5:30 PM, we chatted with a guy who claimed to have been walked from Harvard Square and said he hadn't had a bus pass him.
