here's the gotcha. the cd-rom drive is flakey. the video hardware is flaking out and the screen sometimes turns very strange colors or gets patterns. it has "the buzz", which apple will fix under warranty if you bug them. since it has other problems, it was never worth it to me. it's been in its original packaging for the past few years.
on the other hand, you get the most beautiful computer ever made, complete with italian-leather palm rest, audio by Bose, the matching pen & pencil set (really) and matching CD wallet with original System 7.5 and Mac OS 8 install CDs, FM radio, TV, S-Video input, the whole nine yards.
if this appeals to you, come and get it. if you own a TAM, it would be a good source of parts. near Davis/Porter Square.
