Funny, now that you mention it, I am in Ward 7 but I have a Zone 1 sticker. I know you get a sticker based on where you live and not based on when you go in to get a sticker. Different neighborhoods have different numbers attached to them. I was always told that it was to control the volume of renewals per month to keep it predictably even rather than have a really slow month followed by a really busy month.
