this is a very crafty town, maybe someone around here needs an 8-shaft loom ? i'd love to sell the one lurking in my attic.
You know how sometimes you want to sell something, but you take an interesting trade instead ? well now I've got this 8-shaft "floor-standing table loom". it seemed like a good idea at the time, but i've never managed to do anything with it. what's with calling it a "floor-standing table loom" ? it's got legs to stand on the floor, but it's got hand-levers instead of foot treadles. it looks like it's designed to have the legs fold up, making it sort of portable, but you'd need to modify the reed if you wanted to take the legs completely off.
anyway, these are its particulars: "Artcraft" brand, 25" weaving width, 8 shaft, not sure about the dent count on the reed, not quite willing to count all the heddles but there are certainly an awful lot of them. Appears to be very sturdy, in good shape, and fully functional, but as I'm not actually a weaver myself, I can't give you any personal testimonials. here's a pic:

i'd like to get $300 for it.
