househunting
Apr. 14th, 2004 07:18 pmFor those of you who live around Davis Square, how long did it take you to find a place to live?
I'll be entering Tufts University as a PhD student this Fall. I plan on moving to the area and am not sure when I should really start house hunting in earnest.

Date: 2004-04-14 05:05 pm (UTC)It is much cheaper to have roommates than to live alone. I don't know how you feel about roommates and you may not know anyone in the area, but it's something to keep in mind. *glances at your profile, sees you live in Waltham* Oh, well, maybe you do know people. And you probably also know that housing is pretty expensive.
If you don't have a car and aren't familiar with the Red Line and local buses, find someone who is. Realtors don't actually know whether or not places are convenient to transportation.
