renting the Dilboy

Hello! I am looking to rent the Diblboy VFW for a fundraiser in November. Does anyone know generally how much it costs? We'd want the bar, and bands would play, if that makes a difference.... any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm totally trying to recall a distant memory here, but I think it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $400-$500. They do a cash bar. Anyway, probably best to call them to find out but I think that's in the ballpark.

They don't have a phone number, as far as I can see. I looked under 'Veterans', 'VFW', and 'Dilboy'.

I just booked it for a private event. $300 for 4 hrs (plus an hour for set-up) $100 for each additional hour. You cannot bring any of your own beverages except coffee. You must buy from the bar, and you must put a $250 bar deposit which will be refunded if people spend $250 at the bar. If you have more than 100 people, you need to pay for police detail. No extra charge for having a band (but you must keep their flags on the stage)

You know, there are so many events and questions about the VFW here that I'm considering starting a Dilboy page on LJ. I know more than a couple of us are actually members there and often times, I learn of events as they're booked that would appeal to the wider audience.

Better yet -- why not a Dilboy page at its own domain, not at LJ? Use something like DilboyVFW.org or DilboyPost.org .
