'Rest & Bread,' Wednesdays at First Church Somerville

Hi, guys! So many years of reading the community and my first post, as liaison for my beautiful beautiful church, just up on College Ave (the one with the purple doors), First Congregational Church of Somerville.

We've got a new Minister of Outreach, and she's rolling out all sorts of ways to bring new people into our loosely-defined but warmly-woven community, including 'Rest and Bread,' a peaceful new Wednesday-evening service:

First Congregational Church of Somerville, UCC
Invites you to a new quiet, contemplative service on your way home.

Rest and Bread
a service of prayer and communion
Wednesdays, 6:15-6:45 PM
Music for mediation at 6:00
89 College Ave., Davis Sq.

You know, I'm not actually entirely sure if we get bread. It's in the title, so I'd like to think so, and if all else fails, I know anyone would happily sun to When Pigs Fly and get some, if the people demand it. Will you share your Nutella?

Hi, Steve.

You might want to mention that the service is in the chapel on the side. I only even thought to try the side door because the front door mentioned a handicapped entrance.

The service was lovely, though, so thanks for posting to the community about it. At Passing of the Peace when you said your name was Steve, I almost said, "Oh, you're Steve from LiveJournal," but I figured that would begin a conversation too long for Passing of the Peace (I'm Elizabeth -- the girl in the light blue-green sweater sitting next to Tara).
