Parade?

Maybe I'm thinking of some other time last year but I feel like there was a July 4th parade down Highland. Does anyone know if there's one this year? I haven't been able to find anything about it but I live close to highland and it would be great to know what streets are closed.

There was a huge parade down Highland Ave. on Memorial Day weekend. Is that what you're thinking of?

We don't have a July 4th parade. Just the big Memorial Day parade that is held every year that marches down Highland. Our other parade is the Little League parade. A bunch of Little leaguers and firetrucks. You must be thinking of the Memorial Day parade.

There's also a small parade from City Hall to the Prospect Hill Tower on January 1 each year.

I thought that was more of a March. Not really considered a parade.

The little league parade could be considered a March too.
There is a difference between a March and a Parade. You can see the difference very clearly when comparing these things with the parade on Memorial Day.

Often, but not always. Somewhere I think I read that this year's ArtBeat will end with a parade, but I don't see any schedule information yet on the Somerville Arts Council website.
