The Davis Square t-shirt I bought many years ago has finally given up the ghost. My attempts to find a replacement have been fruitless, so I decided to make my own and make them available to you all as well. Check out http://davis.spreadshirt.com and order away. There are three designs, but right now, they're only available on regular t-shirts. If you'd like something else (sleeveless, women's, underwear, bags, hats, whatever) let me know by private message and I'll see what I can do.

this reminds me. i was drunk at a party in philadelphia a couple years back and mentioned to a total stranger that i lived in the davis square area of somerville. he mentioned some t-shirt campaign that was started as a joke, but it said something like 'somerville commandos'... man i wish i could remember what he said. apparently there were some older slightly xenophobic somerville residents who were disgruntled about something or other, possibly due to influx of immigrants or transients... and they hung up fliers or something but there was a typo in the flier that made their slogan unintentionally ironic or hilarious. man i'm rambling. does this sound even somewhat familiar to anyone?

Cool! I got one of those shirts at ArtBeat years ago, but I've long wished I had a couple more. All the ones I've seen for sale since then have been not quite right (white background, or they add an outline, or extra text... I just want the sign).

Unfortunately at almost $19 each I may not get any of these, but it's good to know the option is available if I should change my mind.

Oh, that's cool! I might be interested in a woman's T-shirt -- I don't want to put you to any trouble just for one person, but if there end up being a lot of people interested, well, I guess I'd be one of them. :)

I hope the graphic is just a mock-up? The map looks too close to the neckline.

Don't they also sell those at D-Squared?

I think D-Squared does have those along with other Davis Square t-shirts designs now. I thought I saw them there at least.

I remember "US Out Of Somerville" mugs and shirts being sold by Someday Cafe. This was 8 or 9 years ago. Was that it?
