Davis Square Community Yard Sale pickup?
Jul. 19th, 2008 03:57 pmSo, we had our yard sale today (19 Burnham St.). It went all right, but we do have quite a bit left over. There's all kinds of items - clothing, household items, kitchen stuff, kids' books, etc. It was my intention from the beginning to donate any and all leftovers to the Davis Community yard sale next weekend, and I still really want to do that. However, after literally 10 hours out in this heat today, I just simply do not have it in me to lug this stuff to the Starbucks in Davis or any other drop-off location. So, is it possible that there is someone coordinating the event who would be able to pick it up? I have it all right outside my house as though it's trash, but I haven't yet posted it as "free stuff" on craigslist. I'm happy to hold off on doing so if someone can come and get it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Date: 2008-07-20 01:00 pm (UTC)I believe we may have talked via email. I was away all yesterday in Maine. I don't have a car. I'll probably be in Davis Square today and can take as much stuff as I can carry and walk it to the Starbucks.
Thank you very much for donating! Sorry about the transportation issues, but hopefully we will be able to get as much as possible for the sale.
maybe I can help...

Date: 2008-07-20 01:28 pm (UTC)I sent you an email with my phone number. I'm going to be away from email now for must of the day, so give me a call later and we can coordinate a pick up.

Date: 2008-07-20 02:13 pm (UTC)Thanks so much for all of your efforts! My boyfriend actually got back early with our car today. This morning I heard a bunch of people going through everything, so I decided to just load most of it into my car and I'll bring it to Starbucks myself. New day, new energy. :) The items did get a little picked over last night and this morning, but there still should be sale-able items. Best of luck next weekend!

Date: 2008-07-21 02:10 am (UTC)Anomie666 already offered to let me drop stuff off at his house (I didn't have a car or energy on Saturday, but now I do). However, since he doesn't have a car, maybe it would be better if I dropped the stuff off to you, since you can more easily get it to the sale? You're also really close to me. If that sounds good, let me know when would be best. I'm around every day after 5:30 except Monday.
