Has anyone else seen the signs taped to poles along Elm (starting around Big Fish, Little Fish and ending...I don't know where) with little snippets of vaguely Shakespearean verse about a Rosalind with flowers attached? They're kind of cute, and I'm curious about them.

Same as these, or more original?

I haven't seen the signs, but there are free outdoor showings of "As You Like It" happening, so I imagine the signs are ads for that.

Only four more days: tonight through Saturday at 8 pm, and Sunday at 7, on Boston Common.

Details (http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=30159) of the production. Sounds like it's going on at the Boston Common until August 3, and then moving out to Springfield.

I saw one myself. They don't look like professional ads, rather like somebody's art project.

yay! it's probably if not an ad, a response to "As you like it"!

They continue on Mossland and a bit on Somerville Ave. I was wondering what that was about.

I saw them last night on my way back from As You Like It. They are definitely references to/from the play. They are either viral advertisements for the show in the common or some very excited fan.

I saw people putting them up near the house with the crazy yard on Elm Street. I assumed it was the same people who made the crazy yard, but I could be wrong.

And yes, the quotes are from As You Like It, which is the free Shakespeare production on the Common this year.

Looks like you're right. From an article in today's Somerville News:
After watching Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” with his girlfriend recently, Monsarrat was inspired by the main character Orlando’s act of love, in which he tacked up poems in the Forest of Arden for his lover Rosalind. Monsarrat attached flowers to 15 original poems and posted them along his partner’s walk from her house to his. “She was of course flattered,” he said, “I earned some brownie points for it.”
