Grand Prix Cafe has closed :-(

Grand Prix Cafe, which was on Mass. Ave. between Day and Dover Streets, has closed. Their last day of business was Sunday, August 3rd, according to a sign posted in the window. They lasted two years and four months.

I'll miss this place, and I especially regret not having been there on their final day.

I like their breakfast sandwiches and smoothies, and the decor is so cheery. Plus free WiFi!

Damn, damn, damn.

Peter - the owner - was an amazing cook, and he is a razor-sharp conversationalist and a guy who spends a lot of his time helping the community. As far as I understand it, he's a very skilled martial artist who spends his free time teaching inner city kids.

This sucks.
