recycling center nearby?

Does anybody know if there's a place around to take recycling? I'm moving, and have lots and lots of flattened boxes, newspapers, etc. We'll put a bunch out on the curb, but I'd like to be able to get rid of it on a non-recycling day too if possible. I looked on the city website, but they don't say anything about dropoff places.

There used to be days when you could take recycling to the DPW on Franey Road, but I don't know if they still do this. I suggest you call 311 (or DPW tomorrow) and report back here.

Yes, that's probably what I'll do. I was hoping to know before I have to put all the recycling out tonight, but I'll deal. And report back. Thanks.

You can bring paper recycling directly to the DPW yard when the yard is open. There's a big bin the middle of the middle of the parking lot. Be aware, though, that they do not want want cardboard in their recycling.

I think you can call 311 at any time of the day or night.
