Looking for witnesses, 2am Sat night, person thrown thru poor little rich girl window

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for witnesses to the "scuffle" that happened outside my store Saturday, about 2 am.

Someone was thrown threw the window and injured, transported to the hospital with severe lacerations.

I have the name of the injured person, but without witnesses to say what happened, I am going to be held responsible for the rather expensive damage.

I know it's a long shot, but thought it might be worth a try...I understand it goes with the territory of owning a business, but it is a total bummer that I am going have to pay for someone's drunken brawl stupidity.

I too wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this.
Maybe the person who was injured knows the person who pushed them and can offer you up some information. It might be just as much that persons fault as it is the person who pushed them.

I have heard a few different versions so far of what happened, so I am really just trying to piece it together.

There were no arrests, I think I am probably just going to have to pay it and be thankful nobody died in my window.

Insurance will cover, but the deductible is not low, and I feel like if someone did this because they were behaving badly I shouldn't have to pay any of it.

There is a police report, but nobody was arrested because there were no witnesses, thus my looking for someone who saw what happened.

We will be fine, I was just figuring if I put it out there maybe somebody who was leaving one of the bars at 2 am might have seen it.

I have decided I am not going to spend any more time worrying about it.

If you mean to crank the handle on the little grinding organ that plays the first verse of "Oh Woe, The Yuppie Influx Into Belov'd Davis Square" in 3/4 time, you've succeeded. As for interpreting the post, which to my reading clearly depicts the incident as a result of a fight rather than a targeted attack on the store, not so much with the success.

It officially doesn't matter anymore, the window is being replaced tomorrow am.

The store has been in Davis for 7 years now, so it's not new anti-yuppy activity...just some drunk people being stupid.

How about cameras at the nearby ATMs? Is it possible to get help from those banks.

Ask your insurance company if they would be willing to subrogate against the bar the guy got so drunk at. If this guy got behind the wheel and drove through your building I'm sure the bar would be liable, why not in this situation?

Also I've heard that thrift stores are doing well in light of the recent economic downturn. I'd rather buy a sweet vintage T at a thirft store than pay $30 at Urban Outfitters right now. Good luck.
