Free love seat near Teele Square

Hello LJers!

Our well-loved love seat is now sitting on our curb waiting to be picked up by YOU or the garbage collector. Please hurry so it doesn't get taken away to the landfill.

It's black and gray, the fabric feels cottony and looks like burlap but is much softer. The stuffing is coming out just a little bit on one of the arms but otherwise it looks pretty good.

It does have a significant amount of cat fur on it, so PLEASE don't take it if you're allergic to cats! It also has a slight cat odor from our cats marking it.

Address: 86-88 Clarendon Ave, Somerville, MA. It's between Broadway in Teele Sq. and Massachusetts Ave.

I first read it as "Free love near Teele Square" and wondered if they were talking about my house.

But yeah, I can't imagine why they're getting rid of it. And of course, if you really care about your stuff not going to landfill, you find someone who wants it *before* putting it on the curb where it'll only get worse.

I'm going to hope that they mean by rubbing their heads against it and marking with their cheek glands, rather than the obvious other interpretation.

Sorry for the confusion. It's been cluttering up our house for far too long, and just needs to go.

It also doesn't smell too bad, but I thought I would fully warn people.

I just joined this community and posted this ad on the recommendation of a friend after moving to the area a few months ago, but I thought I would post this in case someone was interested.

Offering up free furniture here is fine, lots of people do it, but soft furniture is a risky venture as bedbugs are a problem in the area and most people choose to err on the side of caution and avoid hand-me-downs of that nature. It's great that you included the details of wear to help people decide if the couch is for them and to give people a chance to ask you questions about it.
