We are not sure how the rumor started, but both 311 and the School Dept have received numerous inquiries from residents concerned that school was canceled for Friday.
We have verified with Somerville Public Schools Superintendent Tony Pierantozzi that all schools and school activities will be operating on a normal Friday schedule.
