Hello Everyone,

We are new to the Davis Square Livejournal Community. We want to introduce ourselves and let you all know some of the areas we work in and some of the courses that we teach. You've probably passed our office space at 2516 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. You may not know that we offer alternative, innovative approaches to helping you with relationship, self esteem, work, family and creativity issues. There are a few ways to find out about our practice and how we can help you:

Call us to set up a time to interview one or the other of us at no charge 617.868.0660 (Marcia) 617.868.7775 (Carl)

Go to our website: www.collaborativepsychotherapy.com

Take one of our courses.

The next course coming up is People Skills for Savvy Professionals. Sign up through the Cambridge Center for Adult Education (ww.ccae.org or call 354-6789) People Skills begins Monday February 23rd and goes form 5-6:30pm.

A specialty of Marcia's is working with artists and writers to increase productivity and reduce creative blocks. I developed a new website, http://www.successfulmuse.com in order to focus on my work with artists and writers.

The next workshops for writers will be a two-day workshop, Embolden Your Inner Writer. http://successfulmuse.com/?cat=7
The workshop will be help on Saturday & Sunday Feb. 28th & March 1st at our Cambridge office.

Call Marcia at 617.868.0660 or e-mail me at mew@collaborativepsychotherapy.com

More workshops for writers and other artists to follow.

Thank you,
Marcia and Carl

I'd love to see a course named "Team Building for Jaded People"!

Welcome to the Davis Square community!

As one of the moderators here, I would like to ask one simple favor of you. Since your post is long, please consider using the <lj-cut> tag to hide part of it. People who are interested in what you have to say can click on the cut to read the remainder of your post. Thanks!

You're welcome. You should also revise the ad in your LJ profile, because you are offering your courses at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education -- not, as your ad states, the 'Cambridge Center for the Arts'.

Good catch, Ron--seeing as they're on opposite sides of Cambridge, that could be very inconvenient!

I have not heard of the 'Cambridge Center for the Arts' before. Where is it?

It's how many people refer to the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center (http://www.cmacusa.org/).

Interesting.

Does anyone know what this means, exactly (from Carl Schneider's site)?

"...studied counseling and psychotherapy at the graduate level at Hunter College (New York), and received training from Richard German, a luminary in the outplacement field."

Auditing a few lectures of a graduate course would probably make the first statement true. Attending a couple of sessions of a seminar with Richard German would probably make the second one true (and who is Richard German, anyway?).
