Our sidewalks are served with a lovely glaze this morning.

Putting trash cans on the street was easy though. I just picked them up, then stood perfectly motionless while I slid back down the driveway.

I was composing a post like this as I boot-skated my way to the T in abject misery. Anyone walking downhill on the side streets around Powderhouse and Ball should just plan to slide down on your ass.

Oh the icy sheets of death. My bus came too late for it to be useful this morning so I just trudged along the icy sidewalks in my Yaktrax and got a real aerobic workout.

One icy evening, I pushed my trash can and it slid halfway down my driveway. That was far easier than tip-toeing down the driveway carrying an unwieldy heavy can of trash. I followed it and pushed again. I think it took 3 pushes.

Now this afternoon, with all the wind, there are empty trash cans everywhere. It makes for fun driving...
