falafel/shawarma near davis?

I have been searching for decent falafel/shawarma/Mediterranean/middle eastern food near Davis for awhile and have been unsuccessful. I tried yelp, but to no avail. is there really nothing nearby? the closest I've found is Falafel Palace in Central.

The Sound Bites-owned place across the street from Sound Bites (what is it called?) in Ball Square makes a decent falafel wrap.

Also, Greek Corner on Mass Ave has falafel at 2336 Massachusetts Avenue. Google puts that at about 1/2 a mile, so figure a 10 minute walk

Greek corner, greek corner, greek corner! The best mediterranean I've found around here. Also, Gourmet in porter makes a decent falafel sub.

I know I've walked past some pizza joint-type place in Union Square, next to the Independent, that has a sign saying it has falafel sandwiches. Never tried it and can't remember the name, and it's a ways away from Davis, though, sorry.

I'm down in the Back Bay area for school all the time, so I get my falafel/shawarma fix from the incomparably awesome Boston Shawarma. Sadly, it's a little out of the way from Davis.

Let me echo Cafe Barada. It's owned and run by a good friend from college (the son of the previous owners). Hummus is really tasty and smooth, and the falafel (spelled falafil there, I think) is tasty. The homemade dishes are all good.

In the spirit of fairness, a few things could be better: their menu is really confusing (some dishes available only some days, but to save the fourteen cents in paper they have one odd menu for all days) and they only take cash. But the pros outweigh the cons.

Sabra in Harvard Square (near the corner of JFK and Eliot Streets) has excellent falafel. Excellent.

"Sound Bites BBQ And Grille". I keep forgetting to ask Yasser when he's going to take down the old Zing Wingz hanging sign, since he finally replaced the one over the front of the store.

(And I may or may not mention to him that putting "On Broadway" on the sign with movie-camera icons on either side is silly for multiple reasons.)

Sort of far from Davis, but I like the falafel at Cafe Dilara on Cambridge Street in Cambridge (this could be argued to be in East Cambridge - is there a name for the neighborhood along Cambridge Street that's west of East Cambridge but East of Inman Square?). One caveat: I have once had bad falafel from there but the numerous other times I've had it it has been quite good.

I agree, though, that the movie cameras are silly with "On Broadway"

I haven't tried them, but I'm pretty sure that Singabella Cafe has some of these things. It's at the corner of the bike path, Cameron Ave and Mass Ave in North Cambridge, so 5-10 min walk from Davis per se.
