While they may or may not read LJ, this is a Thank-You Post for the nice person or persons who decided to use their snowblower up and down most of the Hall Avenue sidewalks yesterday. Your kind snowblowin' made the walk last night and this morning much easier, and I'm sure I'm not the only one on the street who appreciated your gesture.

This is wholly sincere without a single snarky sentiment included for LJ's sake. I really mean it. It was a very nice thing for someone to do for their neighbors.

I don't have much else to say so here is a picture of a dog driving a cool-ass car with a cat riding shotgun.

that is indeed a very kind and neighborly thing to do. (there's someone on my block who owns a snowblower, and i'm always tempted to ask them to come by and snowblow my driveway. if i ever own my own place, the first thing i'm going to buy is a snowblower.)

I'm thinking about buying one anyway, and I rent.

But, if I do, it will be off season.
Guy in my neighborhood used his snowblower to clear a path from street to US mailbox in front of my place - after I had shoveled out one connection from sidewalk to street (one reason I hate living on a corner), and was back to doing the driveway ...i went to go help, his comment - "We all need to use the mailbox".

Don't apologize for being honest...

Maybe my sarcasm meter is off or something...

But really, if you are sincere, just say thanks. Prefacing your thanks with protestations that you mean it and aren't being passive-aggressive, and then following your thanks with the same warning, isn't really inspiring.

I mean, I would never have even bothered to think you were being insincere had you not assured us that so many times of your sincerity.

You have to know [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel to understand why he would need to preface a post with non-snark disclaimers.

lulz, i often get caught doing the same thing, especially with posters like [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel.

oh well, they don't get it, and [livejournal.com profile] davis_square is a rather sensitive flower so...meh. :p

Yes! And also to the person on Rogers who tends to do my walk on the way to doing the elderly neighbors' walk. I have no idea who you are, but I <3 you lots and lots. Many times I have been trying to psych myself up to imprison the toddler in her stroller so I can shovel until she gets bored, and by the time I have psyched myself up, I look out the window and there is a clear sidewalk. A clear sidewalk wide enough for the stroller, even. O mysterious snowblowing neighbor, you are full of awesome.

you can safely replace [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n with "the internet".

Ha, yes, even with your many disclaimers, I still for a second wondered if you were being sarcastic, what with this being the internet and all.

Also, just a thought, you could try putting up a sign on your street with a note of appreciation, if you're so inclined (and not too lazy... I would probably be too lazy).

Oh, you are very welcome!

I'm not being sarcastic at all, I mean absolutely not, when I say that this guy really rocks!

Another thanks...

... to the person who used their snowblower on the entire sidewalk on the even side of Farragut Ave. during the most recent storm.

From the bottom of my heart (and the small of my back), I thank you tremendously. Very appreciated.
