Hello!
Just wanted to introduce ourselves - we are the new owners of Teele Square Cafe (the former Soleil Cafe).  We've lived in the area for a long time; Shea went to Tufts and Jon's a local guy.  We sold 2nd Street Cafe (E. Cambridge) a year ago after our daughter was born, and then landed on Teele Square as our new venture.  We've created a great food menu with daily changing specials and will be open better/longer hours for the community.  Our goal is to serve homemade comfort food made from scratch in a fun, laid-back atmosphere, closer to home.
You can check out our website www.teelesqcafe.com for more menu details, the chef's background, etc. and follow us on twitter.com under Teele Square Cafe for the daily special(s).
Thanks and hope to see you soon.
Shea, Jon and Mazzy Adelson

Great to see you here. If you click on the blue pencil and edit the website URL in your post to say http://www.teelesqcafe.com , it will become a live link that people can click on.

I often ate at Second Street Cafe when I worked at Northern Light (up through 2001). Did you own it then?

Neither this post nor your web site seem to actually have your twitter name, which makes it harder to follow you there :)

Looking forward to checking out the new place!

Welcome to the neighborhood

You might want to change the link on your web site to point directly to http://twitter.com/teelesquarecafe so that people can easily click on it and then click the Follow button to follow you.

We dropped in on Saturday and were greeted with a very friendly staff. The food was great, the atmosphere was happy and the Pulp Fiction soundtrack playing in the background was perfect. Very excited to have you guys in the neighborhood!

We'll have to travel over for a meal. Is there parking in the area? We're coming from East Somerville, so it would be too much of a hike.

...make that Sunday brunch only. Is there no family restaurant in this city that is open later than we have to work/commute?

if you offer soy milk for coffee, you've won over this lactose intolerant breakfast eater :)

we've been looking for another breakfast place when renees and johnny d's is always packed.

8 is do-able, but 7 is definitely stretching it. He fights 93/95 to get home for dinner most nights, and it would really be nice to have a new restaurant option.

THanks for caring enough to have that as an option!

Very cool! I am excited to try some soup...I always am looking for soup options close to home :)

One comment- On the website you should make your PDF menu open in a new window...most people tend to close PDFs and in this case it makes your website close which someone probably wont go to the trouble of re-opening.

Your 'Grand Opening' balloons caught my daughter's eye on the drive home from daycare: "Mommy, let's go there sometime." :-) And we will!

I have never made it to 2nd St. as much as I should. Fantastic place. Does anyone know if they are as good since the new owners?

We'll definitely stop by your new location. Good luck!

So... will breakfast be served all day? I skimmed the menu, but I didn't see anything about a time when it stops being served.

Wow! I used to work on 3rd street, and 2nd street was the only place I'd ever go out for lunch. Very awesome that you're going to be over here now, and I hope that the location works out for you. This is exactly the kind of food we need up in teele square.

Rock on!
