Tufts is sponsoring a conference about art and activism this weekend. A group I'm part of is holding one of the workshops outside the conference so that we can include community members in a conversation about how communities respond to changes in public transportation. All are welcome to join in - description is below...

The Think Tank that has yet to be named cordially invites interested members of the greater Boston area to join us for a walking workshop entitled “Community” in Question: Conversations and readings on art, activism, and community vis-à-vis the Green Line Expansion, in which we will collectively investigate the proposed public transportation expansion (MBTA Green Line) into Somerville-Medford and examine how residents respond to (both for and against) changes in transportation and how transportation effects their cities. Leaving from the Tufts University campus, our walking and talking will follow a portion of the proposed route of the Green Line expansion, visit 2 proposed T stop locations, and then culminate at Davis Square. This workshop is part of "Convergence: The Intersection of Arts and Activism" at Tufts University. Co-sponsored by the Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service and Massachusetts Campus Compact, the conference gathers together artists, activists, and educators interested in social justice and the arts.

When: Saturday, April 4, 4 - 5:30pm
Where: Meet promptly in front of the main doors to Anderson Hall at Tufts (200 College Avenue, Medford). Look for the group carrying the large "T" symbol.
How: Walking (wear comfortable shoes!)

This workshop is free and open to the public.

The Think Tank that has yet to be named initiates site-specific conversations, performative actions, and educational projects that interrogate contemporary urban issues in the places where we encounter them. More info: http://thinktank.boxwith.com

Thanks.

While editing, the original poster might want to change "where" to "wear," when recommending comfortable shoes.
