there's an Oishii in Chestnut Hill, too, which is spectacular and not too far out of Boston. not at all cheap, but they give you huge cuts of fish. definitely more worth the money than Ginza or Fugakyu, though those are both high-quality.
Bluefin is indeed cheap, and conveniently located, but distinctly mediocre. not bad or scary, but not that great. Shino Express, however, (especially the lunch specials) is indeed good and cheap. Yoshi's and Hana are both relatively affordable, but from what i can tell Yoshi's has gone downhill while Hana is really pretty good.
Takeshima and Tsunami are both pretty good Coolidge Corner options for good sushi (Tsunami has some yummy creative stuff going for them) at more reasonable prices than Fugakyu. still not quite cheap, but not quite as pricey.
if you're willing to go a little farther out, Sushi Island in Wakefield is really good and not too expensive, and i was really impressed with the quality and variety of the all-you-can-eat on weeknights special at Sushi Corner in Melrose . very yummy and affordable.
