The thief took two of two Rue plants that I had two weeks ago and within the past 24 hours, took one of three Sea Thrift plants in the same area. I removed the other two so that he/she doesn't take them all (I'm already out $25). Just a warning to other gardeners. And if you see anyone removing plants from any of the bikepath gardens, consider asking them what they're doing!  There are a number of devoted gardeners on the path who spend a lot of money and time making it more beautiful. Thanks.

Can you use normally-sized type? As much as I hate to admit it, that teeny-tiny font is too hard for my 40+eyes to read.

I walk to the T every morning around 5am. This morning I spotted a woman wearing a white hoodie and dark pants messing around with the plants but they ran off when I got close enough to shout.
I will try to be more with the stealth next time and sneak up for a picture.

I love your garden efforts, thank you for making my dark early morning walk a bit brighter.

How bizarre and sad that someone would appreciate the beauty of the plants but stoop to stealing them for themselves. Thanks for your efforts to beautify the neighborhood. I hope that the culprit can be exposed for the shallow person that they are.

Please make this post bigger. For me to read it, I had to use a magnifying class. I agree with this 100%, and I'd like those who can't see well to be able to agree that same 100%.

I realize plants are expensive, but... they're not a necessity and, therefore, a very silly thing to steal. I hope the rest of your plants stay safe! How sad.

This. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy a garden that came at the cost of someone else's. It seems like the heart of gardening is a drive to make the whole world a richer and lovelier place. (Of course, I've also been yelled at for pulling pernicious weeds from other people's front gardens when passing by, so I might not be trustworthy.)

I agree. Please remove the font-size and font-color attributes from your post, so people can read it. Thanks.

Ouch. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I really appreciate the efforts of those whose gardens add to the beauty of the bike path, it saddens me that someone would wreck your efforts like this, that's so beyond not cool. :(

I was a bit far for detail but slender build, had the hood up so no facial details could tell it was a woman more from movement than anything.

I would say around 5'5 to 5'8. I know they didn't move further down the path towards Rite-Aid but ran behind the path somewhere. I was not paying complete attention but will be more aware in the future. The white caught my eyes and the way they paused and paused again around the plants.

I'm afraid not. Have you tried going into the HTML view tab and deleting any formatting tags?

Not fixed, sorry. I suggest that you delete all of the text, switch to the HTML editor, and then paste it all back in.

Perhaps this person is just nuts.

I may be hesitant to confront her. It sounds crazy to steal plants that are like $5 each (rough math from reading the details of the post here).

I would invest in an electric horse fence, maybe razor wire? Can you imagine? what has the world come to....

This is on the public bike path, right? I don't think it's a good idea to put anything on the bike path right-of-way that could injure small children or dogs.
