The thief took two of two Rue plants that I had two weeks ago and within the past 24 hours, took one of three Sea Thrift plants in the same area. I removed the other two so that he/she doesn't take them all (I'm already out $25). Just a warning to other gardeners. And if you see anyone removing plants from any of the bikepath gardens, consider asking them what they're doing! There are a number of devoted gardeners on the path who spend a lot of money and time making it more beautiful. Thanks.

Date: 2009-06-06 01:31 am (UTC)I will try to be more with the stealth next time and sneak up for a picture.
I love your garden efforts, thank you for making my dark early morning walk a bit brighter.

Date: 2009-06-06 02:55 am (UTC)This. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy a garden that came at the cost of someone else's. It seems like the heart of gardening is a drive to make the whole world a richer and lovelier place. (Of course, I've also been yelled at for pulling pernicious weeds from other people's front gardens when passing by, so I might not be trustworthy.)

Date: 2009-06-06 03:56 pm (UTC)I would say around 5'5 to 5'8. I know they didn't move further down the path towards Rite-Aid but ran behind the path somewhere. I was not paying complete attention but will be more aware in the future. The white caught my eyes and the way they paused and paused again around the plants.

Date: 2009-06-08 03:21 pm (UTC)I may be hesitant to confront her. It sounds crazy to steal plants that are like $5 each (rough math from reading the details of the post here).
I would invest in an electric horse fence, maybe razor wire? Can you imagine? what has the world come to....
