It's a long shot, but thought I'd post. Someone living between the Brown School and Cedar owns a skinner dark gray outdoor cat and has been letting him/her out at night. Totally not a problem, but it has been coming into my neighborhood and harassing the normally quiet, mellow, neighborhood cats, causing cat fights and requiring me to be the crazy lady with a broom at 2am trying to get the cats to stop meowing loudly, fighting and hissing outside my house. If this is your cat, please stop letting it outside at night. Would blame the other local cats the gray cat is fighting with, but I've been here five years now and they've never been a problem.

I'm assuming this is not a stray because it looks well-cared for/brushed/fed. It has no tags.

I know it would be hard to see at night, but is it possible the cat has a dark-coloured collar on? If so, I might know whose cat it is.

If they come forward and say they can't afford to get the cat fixed (which would probably stop the fighting), the MSPCA has a Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (http://www.mspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=advo_SNAP_Spay_Neuter_Assist_Program).
