Have you tried Nathan Tufts Park () up at Powderhouse? This past weekend there was a great jazz/blues concert there. I didn't get to go but I could hear it all perfectly from my house (while also seeing Alaska). If it's too late for this event, it might be worth looking into for another. Its a lovely park and very under-used, IMO.
