unholy traffic slowness

so, does anybody know why traffic was moving at a snail's pace this morning in and around Porter and Davis? just curious.

hm...traffic was actually super easy for me this am...but i left my house at about 7:15 :o)

there was quite a bit of traffic for me around 9am coming through davis near the elm street bike shop. i dunno what it was.

At 8am (ish) there were ahout 5 trucks making deliveries to businesses on Elm St. and Highland Ave. Once I got onto College Ave., it was pretty clear.

Mass Ave northbound between Porter and Alewife is being resurfaced and traffic in places is down to one lane. That might have also been a factor.

i lived for 6+ years in boston/somerville/cambridge, and didn't have a car. when i'd drive once in a while, i'd be confronted with sights like the one in your icon and all mental faculties would shut down - and when i saw your icon just now, i had a flashback and was trying to figure out how to proceed... anyway, i'm not sure how i got here, but it was a fun memory having time thing.
