Also, do everyone a favor and utterly destroy it if you can. I'm assuming you don't have bedbugs, but I am on a personal mission to make sure that mattresses are never brought in from sitting on the street to an apartment building I (or anyone, ever) inhabits. The more pwned mattresses there are, the fewer chances bugs will have to escape into fantastic new apartments.
