Frisee?

Hello,

I'm looking to buy some frisee, and I'm having difficulty finding any in the area. Dave's doesn't have any, nor do Farmer's Bounty or McKinnon's, and I didn't see any in Shaws. Would Pemberton have any? Does anyone have any experience with finding it in the past?

Formaggio usually has it. Whole Foods probably does, too. Call before going, Formaggio esp. is very helpful.

Are these grown locally? If so, perhaps the Davis Square farmer's market on Wednesday (Union Square has shut down for the year)

you're a little off season for most lettuces, to be honest; you're not likely to find it at any of the places that practice sustainability. Shaw's doesn't call it frisée, the call it curly endive, so look for that, as well.
