Neighborhood meeting on Maxpak demolition

I rec'd this notice of an official neighborhood meeting on the upcoming maxpak site demolition.    Though it is labelled as a neighborhood meeting in large font, I'm not sure if it is a meeting that involves watching a committee talk or if it is actually an informational meeting/presentation with Q&A.  Maybe a bit of both.

Went to the meeting, can't possibly summarize all the details (esp since there were no handouts) but basically the work will happen between late Nov and early Jan. They will take the buildings down, leaving the concrete floors for now. Basically they are complying with a request/pressure by the city to deal with the public safety aspect (teenagers sneaking into a building that is not safe). The actual development is still on hold for awhile. (IMO, hopefully it happens *after* the green line is in so my new neighbors aren't car people)

Maybe someone else could cover the environmental stuff. Basically they are taking precautions, and the city needs to watch over them.

It is sure going to be strange without those buildings there, a big empty lot.

No, project overall is still on hold until they can get the financing again. Just doing demo now for safety sake.

In fact they are not demoing the concrete floors now though surely they would have to for the actual project, because that would be extra cost and is not necessary for safety purposes.

It will probably be another couple years, is my best guess, but they gave no real indication of anything.

Even with the project 'overall on hold', they're still building three townhouses at the corner of Clyde and Murdock streets.
