Fresh Local Eggs?
Nov. 17th, 2009 01:21 amHey, is there any place around the Davis/Porter/Union Square area where I can consistently get fresh eggs (preferably chicken, but mixed with duck would be fine)? I've tried Googling, but I get a lot of B.S. and aggregate sites.
We stayed with friends recently who get their eggs from a neighbor and got hooked on eating eggs that are only 2-3 days old.

Date: 2009-11-18 02:34 am (UTC)You can experience a similar difference if you buy the cheapo jumbo eggs at McKinnon's, and compare those to organic eggs bought anywhere (even if the organic eggs aren't extremely fresh). Except that not all organic or pastured eggs are alike, and many of them still do not compare to really fresh eggs from well-fed chickens.
