missing cat

My cat Isis is missing. Probably got out sometime between 9pm and 2am last night. Near corner of Bay State Ave and Kidder.

She's a plump brown/gold tabby, about 5 years old, wearing a white reflective collar with a bell and a chewed-up (so helpful) ID tag. Usually very friendly and sociable, but probably scared- she is an indoor-only cat.

I've already posted to the Somerville lost pet city site. She does have a microchip.

Edit: Isis has been found, safe and sound. Apparently she had an adventure over at the Brown School. Thank you to all for your empathy and efforts! More details about her rescue in the comments. (:

I'm pretty sure I just saw her, outside 78 Bay State Ave. But she was skittish and dashed away when I tried to approach. I'll email you.

Craigslist found our cat

Post a lost kitty notice on Craigslist. One of our cats went missing last year - was gone for 6 weeks but found 2.5 miles away by someone who saw our Craigslist post. He'sfine now (we live on Highland Rd. b/w Kidder and Boston Ave., will keep a lookout for sure). Hang in there and know hope!

Hi all you friendly cat-supportive neighbors,

Thanks for your kind wishes for Isis to return home! I got a call today about 3:30 pm from a woman who works at the Brown School saying that Isis had spent the day there with the kids! Apparently she had got in to the school somehow. She told me that I have "a lovely cat" and that they had taken many pictures and were planning to have the kids write a story about her visit. A teacher took her home tonight and my roommate picked her up this evening. I'm planning to drop off some thank-you's at the Brown tomorrow morning. Thanks to all who kept an eye out, and especially for the empathy. I'm glad to have her back!

what an awesome story! i live a few doors down from the Brown story. Our cat went missing for a few hours on Saturday- luckily we got her back. I would be comforted to know that she might have a good adventure at the Brown school.

Aw :).

One of my childhood cats, we adopted him after he wandered onto our playground (and no owners could be found). I remember being the elementary school kid with a playground cat. Good times. Glad she is safe and back!
