In case you thought they might not be serious about the Snow Emergency (see related posts), I just drove by a line of tow trucks parked or working on Sherman St. About six of them, I'd guess. The locals were standing on their porches laughing.

Make sure you're not parked in a Snow Emergency lane. That is all.

Yep; they have cop cars going around with bullhorns telling people to move their cars or get towed, NOW, on Mass Ave.

I think I saw about 30 flat bed tow trucks in my short drive (in a zipcar!) from west to east somerville earlier this evening. Many of them had one car on the bed and another attached to the back. :-)

Two vehicles were ticketed, but not towed, on Temple ST in Ten Hills.

They were both there at 5:30pm, and are still there.

So much for consistency.

To be fair, the OP was talking about Cambridge, not Somerville. But there's always the option of bitching to 311 if it bugs you enough.

To be fair, it's the Davis Square LJ, and others discussed somerville towing, so I'd say it's relevant.
